Ruth is passionate about conservation and preserving history. Ruth has studied International Heritage Management, an area she feels strongly about and loves visiting sites of historical importance. Ruth has previously volunteered and worked in the heritage sector and various other sectors, from finance to facilities management. Ruth is excited to have the opportunity to work closely with the UKAHT team as the Heritage Officer and support their hard work in Antarctica. We have small dedicated teams in Antarctica and the UK who work hard to keep our operation going, preserving our Antarctic heritage and sharing it with the world. Each year we recruit a team to run and manage Port Lockroy in Antarctica and occasionally also have vacancies for other specialist roles in the UK.
