Lesley Johnston
XR Producer
Lesley brings new digital innovation into the Trust. Using a broad range of technologies, Lesley designs and develops ways to make Antarctica and our amazing sites digitally accessible to the wider public. She led the planning and development of the Trust’s first virtual reality experience, A Frozen Night, highlighting a little-known authentic experience of life and work at 1960s’ Stonington. Her work also advances the Trust’s digital conservation programme, improving the ways we work to digitally conserve and protect these rare, historic buildings. When in the Antarctic field, Lesley undertakes full-site photogrammetry and photography. During the Detaille 23/24 season, she became a big fan of the characterful Adelie penguins!

Work for us
Join the UKAHT team
We have small dedicated teams in Antarctica and the UK who work hard to keep our operation going, preserving our Antarctic heritage and sharing it with the world. Each year we recruit a team to run and manage Port Lockroy in Antarctica and occasionally also have vacancies for other specialist roles in the UK. Job vacancies are advertised on this website and on social media. Check out our jobs page for up-to-date vacancies. We politely ask that you keep an eye on these pages for any updates rather than contact us directly.
