BAS - Lyme Regis Fossill Festival

  • BAS & UKAHT at Lyme Regis Fossil Festival 2019
  • Grant Awarded: £660
  • Chief Executive approved: September 2018

The Lyme Regis Fossil Festival is an ideal place to showcase the meeting of science and history and to display some of the original fossils and biological specimens of Operation Tabarin and British Antarctic Survey to a wide audience.

Over the three days of the May Bank Holiday in 2019 school children, scientists, enthusiasts and families have a rare hands-on opportunity to find out how animals and plants survive on the frozen continent, discover how life has changed over millennia and how people live, work and undertake research in Antarctica.

We support UK and overseas polar institutions and individuals with grant aid towards outreach and education projects that fulfil the mission of the Trust.
